Wow!!! Sheryl & Doug, on S/V Prudence just posted on their great blog about their magical encounter with one of my favorite underwater creatures.....the manta ray......the hair on my arms is standing straight up reading about it.....I've been blessed with seeing quite a few over my years in Culebra, and although only swimming with them a handful of times.....it's a truly magical event. There used to be one that frequented Flamenco and they are so big, people could see the body from the beach....

Thank you both for starting this string. By the time we got the blog posted, we dashed away for the weekend and did not have access to a computer.
The experience with the manta ray was truly a special one for us (as you may have gathered from the description on the blog). Every time we go exploring in Culebra (via land or sea), we are startled by the beauty which surrounds us. This one, however, currently ranks near the top on the take-your-breath-away scale.
