I was thinking of getting a Mac, but I don't want to become snarky - I guess I'll keep my poetry to myself.

This doesn't happen on any other board where I post, nor in word or spreadsheets. It has to be a setting in the php code. Macs or your browser (Firefox?) may handle the setting differently.

did he just call us "snarky"?  What exactly is that?  Does he realize that out of the regular posters, he's the only PC NERD on the block?

so does Bayberry's, and she is a PC person (had to change the noun when refering to her).

Ok, ok, now this is gonna get ugly!!  Even though I always like to root for the underdog, I am joining Doug's side because we are PC and I have the double space issue also!  So, I don't feel it's fair that the Mac-ophiles are depriving the rest of us from Doug's sure to be wonderful poetry!  Equal rights and all!! ;)

So if you fix it for us it'll mess with Firefox users?

Sorry.  Snarky is more a generic term for Mac-centric putdowns.  Nuttin' personal intended.  I'm not real PHP fluent either.  I just figured it'd be configurable within the editor settings.  This editor is as sophisticated as any I've seen on boards.

The difference between a Mac and a regular PC is so vast, so great a
chasm, of such immense divide, even philosophical incongruity, that
what appears snarky to you, is actually tremendous restraint on
our part, a politeness so to speak!

See! even this post showed thoughtful reserve, whereas I could of
pointed out analgous references to "putting lipstick on a pig"
(this would be a reference to your over iconic displays covering
weak graphic architecture underneath) and my ever-lovin favorite

There was a pilot flying a small single engine charter plane,
with a couple of very important executives on board. He
was coming into Seattle airport through thick fog with less
than 10m visibility when his instruments went out. So he
began circling around looking for landmark. After an hour
or so, he starts running pretty low on fuel and the
passengers are getting very nervous. Finally, a small
opening in the fog appears and he sees a tall building
with one guy working alone on the fifth floor. The pilot
banks the plane around, rolls down the window and
shouts to the guy "Hey! Where am I?" To this, the solitary
office worker replies "You're in a plane." The pilot rolls up
the window, executes a 275 degree turn and proceeds to
execute a perfect blind landing on the runway of the airport
5 miles away. Just as the plane stops, so does the engine as
the fuel has run out.
The passengers are amazed and one asks how he did it.
"Simple" replies the pilot, "I asked the guy in that building
a simple question. The answer he gave me was 100 percent
correct but absolutely useless, therefore that must be
Microsoft's support office and from there the airport
is exactly 5 miles away."

Has Mr. Mac had enough rest to chime in here and squash this PC person?  or is he too busy shovel an inch of snow?:D
