those of us that are regular posters are tired of talking to each other and need new blood -- Beachbound -- jump in!!
My ears are blessed by the sound of my TV with the Weather Channel on (yes, they are predicting another big storm for Wednesday and Thursday), and the sounds of monitor giving me blessed relief......sometimes sounds are welcome.
shoot the helicopters out of the sky -- that will make good Breaking News for the forum and will give us something new to talk about.

so, I just got my first taste of what a real storm in Maine can bring -- close to 2 feet of snow on Thursday, no power (no heat or water) for almost 3 days. I on the fence which is worse hurricanes or snow storms. I think this former island chicka will be getting a generator......having no heat is as bad as no fan and the mosquitos after a hurricane.

| Pretty bad down here, too. Had to use a comforter last night, it was so cold. It's not even supposed to get above 70° today! brrrrrr!

Thanks for the offer, but this should be our last 'cold spell'.
I'm hoping to spend a couple of weeks up there this summer; a couple days here, a couple days there...you know? I have to start planning pretty soon to get everybody's schedule. There are one or two stops that I make that involve getting plasterred, and those must be done toward the weekend, so as to not interfere with work.

if you want to come up for some real Maine lobster and see our beautiful neck of the woods, I have a guest room and plenty of room, and promise not to get you plastered....unless of coarse you want to
