On Thursday March 6th the Gettysburg College Chorus will be on Culebra to give an outdoor concert (under the stars) at 7:00 PM.   Location is "next to El Batey", which is not further defined.   They will sing in both English and Spanish -- a truly         cross-cultural event.

darn -- you found out about my surprise birthday present for you and Aunt Carol -- I'm flying them down for a birthday concert for all the Pisces folk on Culebra.......I've made so much money selling hot sauce this month, it was the least I could do for my favorite people.:D

p.s. since some will not understand, I should also say I have a bridge for sale as well if anyone wants it.:P

It will be set up on the basketball court. This group travels all over the world, and I hope there is a great turn out!

This is from the college website:

The College Choir is the premiere choral ensemble at the college. Designed for experienced singers, this group performs at a very high level. In addition to major concerts each semester, the College Choir performs at venues in the region and special events for the college. The group tours every spring in the eastern United States or internationally.

Black tie and gown for those attending is optional

Just an update on the concert. It actually started close to on time and went on for nearly an hour. All the chairs were filled plus a few extra. The singing was wonderful, a nice variety for an outdoor venue. Some of the group then went on to Dinghy Dock for karaoke <sp?> night, where, according to reports, a good time was had by all.

It was a very enjoyable way to spend an hour - talented singers, comfortable setting and free...what else can you want??
