Just received a copy of this e-mail sent to his family from Culebra's very own Dru Daubon (Jane and Druso's son), who is serving our country in Bagdad.....we wish him a speedy and safe return, and are eternally grateful for all he, and the thousands of other troops, are doing to serve our country.

I have known Dru since we were young kids, and he's one special guy -- but then again, I happen to think his parents are pretty special too (and his sister is almost a better cook then her parents -- but I can say that safely, because I'm in Maine and her father can't get me here):D  If you're visiting Culebra, please don't miss out on having dinner at Juanita Bananas......it will surely be a memorable evening.

If you say prayers, please include Dru in them.....

Hi Pep/Mom and Dad, Just wanted to say hi...I wanted to call and tell
>you thanks for taking care of Mich and the kids...they had a wonderful
>time there...It is so nice to know there is a place in the world that
>you can escape too...all is well here inside the wire...outside still a
>nightmare...
>
>I attached some pictures of a tour we took a couple of weeks ago of some
>of the bombed out buildings here...not much else to see...
>
>again thanks...and I a headed to my trailer midnight has crept up on me
>again....

Seeing that photo of Dru gave me good shivers.   The war seems so far away, especially here on a tropical island.   Hope that he, and all his buddies, realize how grateful we are to them for protecting our freedoms.   Thanks for the posting and bringing life's realities home.
