Jim,

Obviously, I can't be there but am interested in finding out more about the issues.  I am having trouble reading the URL in the poster and I can't just copy and past.  Could you please post the URL on the poster?

Abe

Thanks Debbie, I must have mistyped it the two time I entered it.  Perhaps I couldn't believe that the Army would use the term "FUDS" and thought it was "funds":D

Thank you Debbie for posting the link, because of that
i hit it and visited the site. I was amazed at all the new
photos there since the original establishment of the
site.

So for all of you like me who thought they were familiar
with the site go see it again there's new stuff! (other than data);

once again: http://www.saj.usace.army.mil/support/fuds/culebra/

I have a very, very, very minor quibble with one bit of information on the site.  Indeed, it is with one line. On the photo gallery page it refers to "Isla Culebra (Snake Island)" In one sense this isn't wrong, "culebra" does mean snake.  However, it is my understanding that the island was named after a bishop named "Culebra" not after the reptile.

Am I quibbling too much? (I was an academic in a previous existence.)

Abe

PS As long as I am in a quibbling mood, spellchecker does not like the word "Culebra" and has suggested Clara as a first alternative.  Can we add it to the dictionary?

Bishop San Ildefonso de Culebra was the
ranking regent Catholic in Toledo, Spain
former Capitol/Crown Seat of Spain.

Home of theinquisitions, Don Quixote's route, El Cid,
incredible History. The serpent symbology
from Genesis is embedded in the Catholic dogma,
adopted from the pagans. Have you seen:

http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com
trans/cross symbolism succinctly described!

The conquering of evil represented in the serpent
at the feet of a Saint is powerful imagery, evil
being defeated by or submissive to the holy and
righteous.

In Spanish we are more commonly titled
Isla de Culebra

Regarding Zeitgeist, Lewis got it on DVD from someone on Culebra. I didn't know you could watch it online - thanks! Lewis keeps forgetting to give me the DVD, and he's traveling so much these days that it's not foremost on my list to ask him about.
