This morning it was discovered that unfortunately Carmen Drouye had had not one, but TWO roads cleared over Knowlton/Thompson land to her alleged (but totally impractical) development. Still worse, multiple truckloads of first class soil was trucked out from the initial and widest "superhighway". Many years ago Sra Drouye also bulldozed up from Brava and then along behind the beach, to hook up with her ski jump approach from the ridge. Any one of these roads can cause severe alluvial runoff onto the protected beach, the coral reefs, and also onto the lands below the west side of Brava "mountain".
Because there seems to be no limit to what she might continue to do, a chain has had to be installed blocking all VEHICULAR access to the traditional path down to Brava Beach (read particularly bulldozers, backhoes, etc.). Knowlton/Thompson have always and will always welcome foot and horse traffic on this path so long as people pass at their own risk. (Incidentally, there is nothing whatever in their deeds dedicating any right of way, to the beach or to any other properties). Please note that this path is not driveable in any case, due to washouts.
The Knowltons invite people to park just inside the gates of their own road where it branches off of the Brava Road. All they ask is that no one block their own access.
