My cabin fever friend called in timely fashion to get me out and about to see what was going on post deluge. The wind and water were pretty wild and there were excellent tourists about...here's a little wind and water from off Dinghy Dock. It's hard to capture the feel of the water (well, it is for me, so far), but this is close to what we saw and felt.

Then it was time to move along and we got to Heather's Pizza...somehow never got the pizza. Go figure. But we did get singing show tunes with Johanna and Jimmy, to either the delight or dismay of listeners. But it really didn't matter. What mattered was Johanna saying, "Can we do this again sometime soon?"
Mike, hope you got her home all right!!! What a wonderful night, somewhere over the rainbow...

OMG - where to start?

Kathy is so beautiful - and you captured the very essence!

Gifford. I bet Gifford's a cutie under all that beard and OF COURSE Joanna would want to grab some of that. Lord - I hope I don't get in trouble for this one!

Great Pics, Kathy never looked prettier! Joanna's
pics reminded me of one day when I pulled into
the airport to check on a package. At the front was
Long Beard Mike and Johanna, as I tried to slip by,
Mike says, "Jim, can you give Joanna a ride downtown?"

I said "Thanks Mike" I waited, then got my Jeep,
pulled in front and waited some more while Johanna
taunted Mike. She finally got close to the Jeep and
I said "Goddamit get in" she turned toward me
leaned over like she was gonna say something to
me and instead pulled her pants down and mooned Mike.
I gave her a lecture all the way to town about how she
can't be doing that and what about the people at the
airport etc. As I pulled in front of Chucks, she jumped
out, the wall was full of people, and she yelled
"HE TRIED TO RAPE ME"

Someday I'll write about what it was like having
Joanna over for Thanksgiving. Joanna and I laughed
about it recently. Here is a pic of Joanna at Fantasy
Island before Hurricane Hugo.

Yes Joanna not only was eccentric but quite a "looker"
Soon I'll have Memory Lane on its way. It will include
old profiles, geneology type stuff and a feature on
Joanna and Fantasy Island. I would like to include
your pic Joanna with Mike plus any others someone
would like to contribute.
Right now Memory Lane temporarly is a direct link
to Nancy Hapgoods Service
Originally we were going to hold Joanna's photos
for posterity, but Marsha and I decided to get the
photos together sooner so Joanna (who contributed
most of them) could enjoy the reactions etc.
Since my post was on pretty ladies here's the
classic Joanna shot that harkens back to her
modeling days. Remember she was 50+ here

This is a bump for MJ to come back since I added the pic
after her post

Thanks, Jim! And I understand a LOT more now why she's always going on about her looks...she was a stunner!

Yes...I seriously agree it's always good to do this sort of thing in the time of now...

We were wondering if Joanna was still on the island.  Our first time there many many years ago Joanna was the first islander we meet. We were at the post office asking for directions and she approached my husband Glen and asked him is she could take him home! Saw her many times after that and shared some coffee time with her one morning. What a hoot!
