It's across the bay from us my best guess is the hill behind Costa Bonita. Anyone have information?

just past Costa Bonita -- threatening Maryann's -- my parents are also a little worried, but they can't really see where it is in the nightime.

anyone reading, please go help -- bring water and shovels.

from Billy thomas:

by jimmy rodriquez's house (three bright colored units) by the "dump" just before Billy Thomas's house.....burning pretty well.

my parents are OK -- they have just hiked out -- they think it may have gone up by Faranetta's and Nadeen's old house (I can't remember their names right now).

I know Maryann needs support if not help, and Dion is out that way as well.

I don't have any reports on homes threatened. Only photos. I did see some people that I think would have given a head's up on houses in danger. The bomberos are working strong, as ever. These were taken at least an hour ago and I haven't heard any sirens for awhile...which I am hoping is a good sign. By the time we left, it seemed to be losing steam, but I don't count on anything. Thankfully, the wind is down, just gusts now and then. Fingers crossed and hoping for the best.

We were on the Costa Bonita road for a bit...left, and then they blocked it off. So the main fire was on the far side of that road, but going down toward Costa Bonita. Basically that whole hillside had burned, but was only burning on the perimeter when we got there...which we don't think was long after it started. No doubt, more info tomorrow.

I once again salute the bomberos...they are on it! It is so hard to give a perspective of this in the dark...but this tree burning about 4 feet away from me on the edge of the road was pretty incredible.

It's now midnight and the bomberos are situated on the Faranetta's approach road.  It seems they are waiting for the fire to burn out or fight it as it approaches the road.  From our house across the bay, it seems the fire is moving more slowly than earlier.

WOW -- Have you all found a really helpful and informative use of the forum   Thanks so much for all the postings.   Sounds, so far, as though no one had any structural damage, but there must have been alot of hearts in throats....

So glad to hear that there hasn't been any structural damage, I hope that is still holding true and the fire is completely out or on its way.  I'm sure there are some very tired people this morning out that way.  We are thinking of you all and are so relieved to hear that Mr. and Mrs. Bayberry and Maryann (and associated critters) are all okay.
