I was down at DRN waiting for the DRN people who come here the first Thursday of the month, to get some baot transfers finished.
I saw, out on the grounds above DRN, people lined up, tents, army trucks, etc. I asked one guy what is going on here? He said, the National Guard is here to make water. So they have a mobile RO plant making water and giving it out to anyone who needs a cistern filled. Call Excetera for the number, I didn't get it.
It's good and it's strange. Halfway down to DRN a guy stops you with a gun/rifle in hand. He recognized me from earlier this morning and tossed a hand to let me pass. But the other guy told me people were down there the night before and they threw them out. I don't know why. I told him, hey, we're a bit paranoid here on Culebra, for a few reasons. I happened to have a copy of the latest Culebra Calender with me and gave it to him, saying...we have things going on here concerning development that are illegal, that some agencies should be monitoring and/or stopping. The laws are in place and they are not being heeded, for...whatever the reasons are, along with the bad old days of the Navy being here. So...yes, some of us are suspect when a military unit comes in. He told me they were about the business of taking care of needs.
There was a media event at 10:00 (I was still mired in the legalities of my boat tranfers and watched on cigarette breaks) and I saw cameras, formations, demonstrations, just as the guy I'd talked to earlier told me there would be. He was very polite and very open to giving information.
Anyone who wants to head down toward the DRN or Fish and Wildlife, to ask questions or request water, go for it!
They all were wearing camo outfits...but I think the Cat Who Isn't Mine wins.

The Culebra Calendar June issue has three articles
referencing the current overdevelopment situation.
Two letters, one from UPR Marine Biology and another
from Sea Grant are warnings to other agencies.
In addition the latest press release from C.L.A.P.
beach access rights team refers to breakdowns in
agency response and questions lack of action by
ACDEC.
It is time to really tune in!
Plus a sentimental call to keep us on track from Benji
Plus with the graduation pics it's a colorful issue!
The June issue is online at

Interesting choice of words, that's the way some physicians ask if you are "passing water" or urinating. What exactly were they passing out?

While a handout could be passed out, you
could also pass out while you were passing
out a handout. Now if you were passing out a
handout by passing it out to only those who
had not recieved it during an original hand out,
and the people handing it out were not part of
the original hand out efffort (I added effort for
clarity) then the handout you would be passing
out will be handed out only to those who never
got passed out before by those who never
passed out before? I hope this helps
I know another one, you can prick your finger..
....damn I cant remember the rest of it.
