A beautiful weather day, a beautiful island gathering day at Flamenco for Juanito and Randi's wedding. I wish I could send the slideshow I put together but my program won't let that happen.
A lot later start than the 1 p.m. mentioned, time easily filled with seeing old friends down for the wedding, meeting members of Randi's and Juanito's families, and having time to hang out with friends that usually is limited to a few minutes in passing during regular times.
The group moved to the beach from under the trees for the actual ceromony where Juanito and Randi and the woman officiating stood within a flower ringed circle on the sand. Words were spoken, kisses exchanged often, the deed signed sealed and delivered. An orchid thrown to the single women, and back to the trees for food and drinks. Eventually many moved back to the beach to swim, the bride and groom out of the finery and into the sea...
A beautiful wedding. A beautiful day. Salud, Juanito and Randi, our hearts stay with you where ever you might be (but we like you here, very much).

There were so many good photos...but the cake was so unique...a Rosa creation. All the shells, flowers, bride and groom (with dreads), and...foliage...were edible creations.

Except for the bride, here are four of the most beautiful girls at the wedding (on the slideshow, iPhoto won't let you email a slideshow - I think they want you to buy it or something..)

And probably one of the shots I like best, it's SO Juanito...the woman in the flowered dress is Randi's mother

keep 'em coming......there are days that I miss Culebra more than others, and this is turning into one of them......although the sun is FINALLY out today.....although being Maine, it's never perfect -- the black flys have hatched from all the rain, so for the next few weeks, being outside is just not a pleasant experience (I truly thought I'd experienced the worst of bugs living in Culebra, but alas, I have ended up in a place with a far worse creature....they are tiny, but pack a wallop of a bite which bleeds, and itchs for at least a week)...

I'm not going to add any more, but Kim had a wonderful idea of loading her own pics onto a CD and passing it around to all of us who took pics to add our own.
Today was not the day to follow up on that but I think it could happen in the next weeks. Then for those really interested we can do some serious sharing. I looked at my brother's pics today and he got totally different shots from mine (different people focus, etc. some great shots of the actual vows moment close up), so I think this could be really a fun idea.
