Evidently, Culebra isn't the only island with greedy developer woes.

Our friends in the BVI are watching their island slowly deteriorate. Sad.

Hi Doug,

Thanks for posting this.  I started visiting the BVI in 1981 when I was 13 years old.  I have seen so much change in the last 26 years.  The continued irresponsible development of the islands played heavily into my decision to visit Culebra instead of the BVI in February.  Tourism is a tricky business to figure out from an ethical point of view.  I am heartened by the activism I see on Culebra and hope that the BVI can adopt some of the same strategies.  Thanks again.
