I was told by Sylvia today that some women are coming from the states to teach some vegetarian cooking recipes Saturday, Sunday and Monday at 7 p.m. It will be held between Sylvia's house and the 7th Day Adventist Church. Head toward the Isla del Sol market, and stop before you get to the cross street.

No fees involved, just show up. I don't know how churchy it will be, but it is definitely worth checking out if vegetarian cooking and meeting some wonderful Culebrense is of interest to you. Sylvia calls herself my lucky angel and she is...for some reason, when she shows up at the cart I always make a sale within minutes, and today was no exception. For a tiny woman, she packs a powerful punch!

Hey, that's an idea!! I've been all about chili and didn't think of that!

As for the chili cook off...after attending, starting early to hang out with Zach and talk trash (and win the bet that he couldn't name the secret ingrediant, so he DID buy me a drink at Dinghy Dock), with him tasting my chili and pronouncing it good...talking with some other cooks, hanging with Neil, who provided MAJOR amounts of chili, both mild and spicy (we got through the spicy, then each ate a sundae and couldn't continue to the mild)...I don't really care anymore who won. It was all good, all fun, lots of friends, great kids, who cares? I only have so much energy to be a contender and it was all spent laughing with Zach. With the rest being...oh Culebra.

I would post pics but this is sooooooooooooo slow I can't even figure out where they are. Zach promised to call me about the winner if it's not too late. So for results and pics...well, except this one, that finally came up while I was typing...because this is what it is all about...Manana.
