I am sorry to inform you that Vladimir is in delicate condition at Centro Medico, Hospital Universitario. They really need all your help inyour prayers as well economically. You can help by donating in their bank account: #302005121. Vladimir was working at Snapper Farm and Mairi is the great server at El Eden. Also, their address is:

Vladimir Rodriguez/Mairian Mercado

Box 597

Culebra, PR 00775

Your support will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for posting this!!!! A lot of people who read this forum may think they don't know this couple but you do if you have been to El Eden and been helped by the always grinning Mairian, or spent any time at The Spot where you have seen the two of them often.
This is a great guy, half of a wonderful couple and Paw's Nest is being more delicate than I will be. This is serious and scary and the community (at large) needs to be aware that help is needed, and we need to step up to the plate.

It seems we are having a lot of hard sadness right now. But that is the dox of Paradox and the love of the community transformed into practical help is once again needed.

Luc just sent me this picture and asked me to post it here so everyone can see this wonderful couple.  Perhaps Vladimir helped you at Vieques Air Link, or at Town Hall, or perhaps he served you at Ricci's.  Or maybe you just enjoyed his company during your visits to Culebra.

His condition is very grave, and the family's financial situation is very strained with high medical costs trying desperately to help save him.

Please, consider sending a donation.  We are all strapped for money these days, but this loved member of our community is in desperate need of urgent medical care.

Please also keep he and his beautiful (and I mean inside and out) wife in your prayers.

Thank you

Hi Admin.....Please consider removing the bank account number in this post.  This could be a serious security issue for a family already in trouble.

good point, but in Culebra, this is how it's done, and for people that want to donate anonymously, this is a great way of doing it.  The bank name and routing number are not posted.  Banking is done a little differently in Puerto Rico than the states.

The important issue is that we all need to send a little something, or even better, a lot of something.

It would take a pretty desperate t'eef to go after the bank account of someone who is hoping for financial help...If I were inclined to hack and steal, I'd be looking for Bill Gates numbers!

A bit of nice news in all the bad...a report from a friend who went over said Vladi was being his normal, grinning and joking self during the visit. I may be very naive...but it IS the moment of the moment that matters most (and I'm alliterative as hell too).
