So, we're two days back in Atlanta, and while our heads are still in the clouds, we have many different ways of knowing we are not on Culebra (despite our 84 degree beautiful spring weather).

1) Your foot keeps feathering the imaginary clutch, and when you push the gas pedal, the car actually moves
2) 45MPH feels like 80MPH
3) You come to a 5-way stop (with real stop signs) and the moron behind you blows his horn because you're being too courteous and letting the other drivers go first
4) You step off the curb without looking both ways, or at all
5) Your co-workers ask where you want to go to lunch, and you are overwhelmed by the choices
6) You get out of your car, and as you're walking away your husband says "Honey, Lock the Car!"
7) You suffer from head congestion, sinus drainage and watery eyes due to pollution and high pollen count, instead of Montserrat Ash
8) You can actually get tipsy from one good solid manly beer, rather than having to down three 10 oz sissy beers.
9) Your wireless internet connection is extremely fast and doesn't pull a disappearing act every 5 minutes.
10) The silence while sleeping is DEAFENING!!!

Compliments of Debbie and Lewis

LOL.....who hasn't fallen off a curb in Culebra?

And D&L -- you guys didn't have to deal with the reality check of what is this white slippery stuff surrounding my house........

I did go to a concert celebrating the Spring Equinox in an old church with a finale of 100 person strong drumming circle last night (far tooooooooooo cool), and as my friend and I were going in, it was right at dark, and I heard birds going to sleep and even a dove cooing.....it definately was the first spring evening, and felt wonderful.....

LOL.....as my friend said last night at the concert, Maine winters just make those first few days of spring all the more splendid!!! Of coarse, we won't mention, that're we are back to snow tonight....

In the small world department, a visitor (born in Trinidad, lives in Amherst now) was just in my shop, and we got chatting, and I said that I'd lived on Culebra. She said she thought the items had looked familiar and the name rang bells, and she recognized me from her vacation on Culebra a few years ago....and now Dan DiSalvo is working with her....she can't believe two people actually lived on Culebra, and the smallest of our worlds crossing paths...

I LOVE that stuff! Met some people at the cart the other day who knew my cousin...from Nantucket, years ago. Makes the time hanging out hoping to sell fun things worth it.
