the NWS is calling what has been coming out of our sky all day "Light Snow Mist", and since i've already gotten one request for defination from Culebra, I thought I would explain that apparently this is a new term -- noone local has ever seen this weather ka-ka before -- it's not rain, it's not snow, it's not freezing rain -- it's white rain. It accumulates on the ground as icy snow ka-ka. This is ahead of the up to one foot of heavy snow coming our way tonight.

The same person inquiring from Culebra tried to convince me that Culebra also had a strange mist this morning similar to ours. just NOT true. this is cold, miserable, ugly, and now I know why they call April sucide month in Maine (I was told March was also called that).
