you know, if you make fun of my misery and weather, you get what you deserve....guess who is getting bad weather? LMAO
Special Weather Statement
331 PM EDT sun Apr 15 2007
...A few snow showers being reported across north Georgia...
Over the last couple of hours...the National Weather Service has
received reports of snow showers in north Georgia...from Blue
Ridge...to Waleska...to Lawrenceville. These snow showers are
associated with wrap around moisture attending a large...intense
low pressure system along the mid- Atlantic coast. Scattered light
rain showers and light snow showers will continue through the
evening hours. However...no accumulation of snow is expected as
temperatures will remain well above freezing...thus no accumulation
is expected.

We don't have to know, because it doesn't take very long after a snow here for it to warm up. High tomorrow is forecast to be 62 degrees.

ok, you got me....I have been fielding phone calls from friends here all day who are freaking out at the prospect of wind over 75 knots....they're freaking about the wind, I'm freaking about the snow. I guess it's all what you're used to....let's have a picnic on Larga tomorrow -- I hear the puma is back on Tamarindo side of the island.

Serious about the puma? Really?
Check out our wind advisory. This is insane!!
... Wind Advisory now in effect until midnight EDT tonight...
... Wind Advisory in effect from 9 am to 8 PM EDT Monday...
The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has extended the
Wind Advisory for this evening until midnight. In addition... a
Wind Advisory is now also in effect for Monday from 9 am to 8 PM
EDT.
An intense low pressure system deepening along the mid-Atlantic
coast will result in a continuation of strong west to northwest
winds of 20 to 30 mph through the evening hours. Some gusts could
reach near 40 mph... .especially north of a La Grange... to
Monticello... to Washington line. Northwest winds of 20 to 30
mph... with gusts up to 35 mph are expected to redevelop quickly
after sunrise Monday.
Motorists using high profile vehicles... particularly those along north
to south oriented roadways... should exercise extra caution. Secure
loose outdoor items such as lawn furniture or trampolines.
A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 20 to 35 mph or
wind gusts of at least 35 mph are expected.

LOL.....the puma lives!!!
The wind here is supposed to be nuts as well....12 hours of sustained winds of 40 mph won't be pretty.
...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO
12 PM EDT MONDAY...
VERY STRONG WINDS WILL DEVELOP DURING THIS EVENING AND PERSIST
INTO MONDAY MORNING. SUSTAINED WINDS OF 20 TO 40 MPH FROM THE EAST
OR NORTHEAST WITH WIND GUSTS OF 50 TO 60 MPH ARE EXPECTED LATE
TONIGHT UNTIL ABOUT MIDDAY MONDAY. THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL BE
OVER OPEN HIGHER TERRAIN AND AREAS OPEN TO THE OCEAN.
THESE WINDS...COMBINED WITH SATURATED GROUND AND AN ACCUMULATION
OF WET SNOW...WILL LEAD TO DOWNED TREES...TREE LIMBS...AND POWER
LINES. POWER OUTAGES ARE LIKELY...AND COULD BE NUMEROUS. HAVE
EXTRA BATTERIES AND FLASHLIGHTS AVAILABLE IN CASE YOUR
NEIGHBORHOOD LOSES POWER.
PLEASE REPORT HIGH WINDS AND DAMAGE TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE BY CALLING TOLL FREE...1-877-633-6772...WHEN YOU CAN DO
SO SAFELY. STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO...YOUR LOCAL MEDIA...
OR GO TO http://WWW.WEATHER.GOV/GRAY FOR FURTHER UPDATES ON THIS WEATHER
SITUATION.

Oh dear! Here, it's 83, a slight breeze (this end of the bay, it was blowing like stink past the markers, but wonderful according to a sailor who went to Culebrita today, who had a wonderful time, as did her guests)...but I'm ready to see the puma!
Good weather soon come, y'all! Hold on! And with those wind factors, I guess I mean that.

our govenor has just declared a state of emergency -- probably to justify turning our power off before the high winds hit.....and the highest tides of the year tonight and tomorrow morning.....enjoy the tropical breezes and warmth, and watch out for that puma!

The cat was pissed because she couldn't go out today - so cold, so wet. So we told her "See, we should go live on Culebra." We're not sure she agrees (she can't go outside there. . .yet), but she's coming around.

| I understand that the only reason you can see the car doors is because admin. has to get into her car to charge her cell phone so she can communicate with the rest of the world and let us know she survived (?or tell the National Guard how to find her?)

Completely unfathamable to me, but I know that stuff melts. And it seems to be actually raining here at the moment, my ears and nose tell me it's true! So hang on, hang in, it WILL be over with and the beauty and sun will return. This is an anomaly...
