This little tidbit was published in the October 18 issue of Caribbean Business:
A Ferry Tale
Pity the poor tourist who wants to visit Culebra or Vieques via the government ferry. . .the only way to get there other than flying. After a week of calling and emailing asking for information on schedules and fares with no response whatsoever, the visitors went to the Tourism Co. to no avail. Likewise, they couldn't get the information they needed from the travel desk in the San Juan Marriott. So the unfortunate visitors decided to drive all the way to Fajardo to determine what time the ferries left the following day. They were told they could book passage but there was no guarantee they would get on. As for the car they wanted to take over, the ferry people responded by telling them it could indeed be accommodated. . .in three weeks!

and people think living on a small island is all fun and games.....the ferry is just part of the adventure!!!

| No one (here) ever said it was easy to get here...determination is a beautiful thing. And then, there's always those resort islands where THEY come pick YOU up!
