Here's my December 2005 adaptation of
A Christmas song (Chestnuts roasting on an open fire)

Pinchos turning under island stars,
Warm breeze tickling at your nose,
Feliz Navidad being sung in beach bars,
with words that everybody knows.

Don't need cold weather or a drift of snow,
Just to make the season right.
I’ll be there... in the warm salty air,
And walk a moonlit beach at night.

And even Santa wants to play
he'll leave his big, red, heavy coat
out on the sleigh.
because on Christmas Eve...
after he’s flown
We’re gonna find out ,
can he really hold his own.

And so I'm dreaming of my island trip,
And if you wish you’ll be there too...
With smiles everywhere. and coquito to share...
Merry Christmas...Island wishes..To You

Debbie,

I would love to send that cartoon to my grand-daughter.  Can you tell me where I can find it?

I'm getting sentimental in my old age. Friends are back,
Bob and JoAnn, Dick Anderson, George and Jane,
Block Island Judy so many others. What gets to me is
their enthusiasm and genuine delight to be back. It
reminds me once again how lucky we are to live here
and be that appreciated by others just for being here,
being part of it, and helping to hold this fort together.
Ivan Solis (Willie Ivan to some) has just joined the City
Assembly and has a refreshing attitude. Although we
are heading into a highly charged political year, (I'm
referring to Culebra) there is a lot of good things
happening. I gotta go back to work, the December
issue, now on the street will be online later tonight.

Thanks to both of you - I expect that she will love a cartoon which involves picking your nose. (I do too - enjoy the cartoon, not pick my nose.)

On a mac "control" and click select open in a new window
then print then pdf from the print window or
select the various save image options to save as a png!
or shift-apple-4 , click and drag the crosshairs around
the object then let go to selectively screenshoot it.
