OK, but what has to happen for it to be playable? I know I can get it into DVD format if he'll let me borrow it. Then what?

Then you get your fellow deadhead involved, and learn how to "rip" it to the computer, and digitize it. I don't know how to do it, but I know he does. It can't be much different than importing a CD into iTunes.

Today, we have a flamingo tongue. A flamingo tongue is a member of the mollusk family (clams, conch, slugs, snails, octopus, squid - think slimy boneless animals with or without a shell). Flamingo tongues are pretty common in Culebra's waters. They are about 1 to 1 1/2 inches long, pink with spots. They subsist on sea fans, sea rods, gorgonians, etc. As you snorkle around, look for bare patches on sea rods (the long slender cat-tail like creatures), and above the patches, you will likely find a flamingo tongue that's eaten it's way up the sea rod. It's harder to see on a sea fan, but if you look closely to the left and below of the creature shown, you can see the path its made, eating its way to the top.

Enjoy!

My name is SCUBA,...

My nude kite flying with my bare white butt ( ! ) and sun exposed unit (remember the water was cold that day) on Zoni Beach has inspired much intelligent chat on this site I see,...

I don't know if producing the tape with enhance the story or deflate it,... (like an over hyped movie,...)

I'll see what I can do to get it formatted and we'll post the link,...

Thanks for having me,...

Oh yeah,.. Before everyone ask's,... How and why I got the name Scuba,...

Scuba has been my nic name since I was around 10,... I loved all aspects of Scuba Diving as a child by what I saw on TV and movies and in the picture books,...

I was also the only kid who knew what "scuba" meant,... and the day in 3rd grade we were discussing Acronyms,... and I stood up and said,...

"SCUBA,... Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus,..." I was an instant hero to all the dumber kids around me,... The name slowly started to stick,... Then one day there was a single frame newspaper cartoon of a man going "scuba diving,.." He was doing a beach entry and his wife was on the beach yelling,... "bring me back a SCUBA,..." I thought that was funny as the term wasn't wel known then,... this was around 1968 or 1970 or so,... That helped in securing that name to me,... I have tried to find that comic strip with no luck,... It was called "The Little Woman" and was in a St Louis News Paper many years ago.

I am a certified diver,... but by no means a "Super Scuba Diver,..."

I just a regular recreational diver,... Happy to get a few dives in a year,... There's no worse place to be with a nic name like Scuba than on a scuba diving trip believe it or not,... People go,... "who does this guy think he is,...?"

I am now more associated with the name and it's new acronymic meaning to me,...

See Chubby Underwater Breathing Asthmatically,...

Hope to meet you all soon,...

Scuba

Maybe our wonderful webmistress would bail me out and clean up this mess.  Mea culpa. I'll see if I can get a different thread going. Scuba? Hey! Over here!

Today, feather hydroids. Aren't they pretty?? DON'T touch, no matter how pretty, feathery and harmless they look. They sting!

Debbie,

Photography question.  To get the colors some artificial light is necessary, correct? What is the trick to keeping it from being too harsh?

Doug,

Artificial light, in my case a DS125 strobe from Ikelite, is a necessity. Otherwise, everything comes out all blue or green. I'm not sure what you mean by "harsh," but the trick to u/w photography is lots of light and getting very close to the subject.

OK, as soon as the webmistress can stop laughing long enough I'll see if I can move Scuba's sweet white butt out of diving school......and I have to go back to my insider source.....she did not inform me that Pat and Spanky have a starring role.....all she could talk about was Scuba's butt.....I can't stop laughing......

Help!! I can't just move some replys-- I'd have to move the whole topic. And I can't stop laughing

New Rules for the Forum -- Naked Married Men have to have their own corner and not interrupt those of us seriously studying underwater life with Debbie (I'm loving it). Naked Single Men should send more videos and contact the webmistress or Island Woman (see below note):P

OMG -- I can't stop laughing......Pat running out and Spanky helping.....

Ack! Not this Island Woman, chica! All unknown single (and any other kind of) men must approach me with clothing securely in place.

The feather hydroids are really beautiful, Debbie!
