A friend who kindly watered my gardens while I was on Jost pointed out this bird nest to me. A few days ago you could only see beaks...but they are growing!

Good question..that's as close a view as I can get without climbing up there. I figure when they are done with it, I'll check it out close up. It looks like thread & shells but that can't be right.

that's why I asked....it sure looks like a hummingbird castle to me.....and I definately see thread and shells.....
I can't wait to hear about first flight (that has to be a Closed Others Day).......

Wow! That was an amazing video. They must have had an *upstairs* view somehow...and the gazebo roof won't hold me up...you'll just have to be content with what I see and share

Babies update from this morning (when I look at that video...it hardly seems they were much bigger before they flew away, so I'm not sure how long I'll have them. Haven't seen Mama feeding them yet....)
