Typical Tropical, go snorkeling and it rains.  The fish seemed unbothered and so was I.  DD, I finally got a Trunk fish photo.

Sweet, Hillman! Next time you see a flounder, set up your shot, and then very gently prod it off the rock. It will turn bright purple as it swims off.

(and no I've never been successful with setting up the shot, prodding, and shooting and getting what I expected - but I want to see you do it!) :P

LMAO.....I can't even pat my head and rub my stomach at the same time.....I sure hope Hillman is more coordinated than I am.  But it would be cool to see a purple flounder!

:)

Great shot of that trunk! did you keep the hres orig?
i'd like to get it and crop it.
That reminded me of my days on the Luis Peña Reserve
and Carlos Rosario when Trunkfish and Trumpet and
Puffers abounded. Still there, not quite as many, but
thank god for the vision of the locals and activists
who realized that the #1 resource for Pastelillos de
Chapin was the Luis Peña Channel!
Most Pastelillos de Chapin are made from other
fishes, heavily seasoned, who knows the difference?
