try handholding a camera with no flash on a moving dock with a splint on your foot.  I'm pretty proud that one, I didn't fall in the drink with the TV or my camera, and two, that I managed to get a few good shots!

Another Fourth of July tradition in Maine is fresh salmon and the first fresh peas of the season --  IF I can get Mr. Bayberry to help me shell them   His reward will be the strawberries.

Maybe I'm weird (ok, hush now, be nice) but I love shelling peas. The last time was on the boat I was working on in Spain...friggin' peas were as big as marbles, and a full grocery bag cost us 2 bucks. We sang some appropriate song and shelled and drank good wine. They were DELICIOUS!!!

nothing like peas....my problem is that I eat them as I shell them....no time for cooking...just past the strawberries at the farmers market, I found peas....sorry Island Woman!!
