Location is Marco's old grocery store at the waterfront, where Culebra Divers are now located.    Where are the pelicans that used to patrol that area????

? = Toñín/Fuji/Antonio

Pelican = Pancho?...After Hugo there was a pelican that hung around the dock for a while that people named 'Pancho'; eventually he went away. A few years later there was a pelican hanging around again for a bit, but we were never able to get him to admit if he was Pancho or not. :)

Hanging out on the sidewalk at Marcos' was cool but, as you see in the picture, those were evil times when we were allowed to drink out of clearly labeled alcohol containers in public.

:D You have no idea how often that would happen throughout(sp) the years. I'd be having such a good time that I would try to let it go on, but on a low key as to not bother the neighbors. Yeah, right! I've been feeding these people drinks for the last 5 hours, and I expect them to keep it down:shock:. I never learned.:)

Wonderful pics and stories...makes me jealous (yet again) for the years I never knew here. At least I got to sit on the Wall for a little while...

I'm sure there will be more stories that come out of this topic, and they certainly were good times and very different at times, although I must say I'm realived they are safely in my past and I semi-survived them....having
myself sat enjoying being served by Boquicaballo for far longer than 5 hours I'm sure he has seen and heard alot over the years! After walking out of Chucks to chat with amigos on the wall, we'd mysteriously find the door closed (and securely locked), we'd sit for a while and then left the wall (and leaving is a general term -- some of us stumbled, some of us just stayed sleeping on the wall) to search for the next party. So many crazy nights of going over the bridge to wake up Tommy and Annie at the Lovings across the bridge (which they were happy to do), or head to terrorize Boquicaballo's saint of a mother at El Batey....or head to the beach for a night of skinny dipping......good times, fun times, crazy times. You always knew you'd had a good time if you woke up with sand all over you....

¡¡¡Skinnydipping!!! You are such a sinner:). What great years those were! If there were enough people to keep the party going, and no neighbors to complain, bars could stay open as long as they wanted. Thankfully they set us straight and civilized us:

closing time Sun-Thu...midnight; Fri-Sat...2am:(:X:(:X

Skinny dipping under the cover of darkness is one step up from naked phone dialing on the deck.....:D
