Today The Lake levels in Lake Okeechobee matched the lowest level ever recorded, 10 feet below "Normal" The Lakebed actually caught Fire Yesterday and threateaned homes near the
old Lakeshore This is what happens when the population overburdens the natural resources, it would not be a crisis if the state wernen't draining it dry by overdevelopment. Lookin for a few mild tropical fronts to save us...

Yikes....between overdevelopment, and more and more evidence of climate crisis and change, we all need to start acting with more responsiblity and stewardship toward our Planet Earth, or there just won't be more of her to enjoy.....
We're dealing with record high temps and a drought here in Maine as well, and Quebec is on fire....literally.....

Quebec is on fire???? Responsible management, an oxymoron if I ever heard one. Can you say Army Corps of Engineers? jdksl;fjakld;fajklf; don't get me started.
Poor Everglades...poor Florida, the old gang raped dear... how can I only be this age and have seen the destruction of the state I grew up in? That sucking sound is the soul of Florida, sinking below whatever is left of the aquifer...

According to reports from the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre on May 29, that fire was estimated at 63,211 hectares (156,197 acres), and it was classified as “being held.” At the same time, more than 20 wildfires burned in Quebec, news sources reported, and firefighters from other Canadian provinces and the United States had been brought in to provide reinforcements for the area’s firefighters.
