Hello everyone!!!

I am thinking of camping on Flamenco on the 25-26 of this month.  This will be my first time camping PERIOD!!!  But I am very exited:D.  I heard that camping there is not really RUFFIN IT, so I figured I would give it a shot.

I just wanted to know how much it would cost to rent the following items:
  • Tent (of course)
  • hammock (I actually want to buy one)
  • mattress
  • cooler
Also since I will be going with all of my belongings.  How safe is it to leave all of my stuff in a tent while I go and leave my tent for a whole day.  And are there any places to shower while your there (YEP just like a girl to worry :shock:LOL!!!)?

Thanks!!!!

Welcome to the forum!!

I'm sure Island Woman will be able to post all the answers you need, but camping is a great introduction to Culebra, and really easy, even for first timers.

Yikes, Island Woman doesn't have a clue what it costs to rent those things, sorry! The best I can do is give the Tent City number -

 Flamenco Tent City 787-226-0232

As for safety, when I camped there alone 5 years ago, I felt perfectly safe. But I would certainly advise talking with the campground guys and letting them know you a bit. They kept a wonderful eye on me and I never worried about theft, etc. Common sense, all of that...it was one of the most excellent camping times I've ever had. Good luck!
