As a U.S. American, I think that such as the South Africans have mosquitoes such as Iraq but don't some don't have spray, such as Asians.
Sorry, couldn't help it, I am still laughing from that. I actually totally forgot that I had the Lemon/Eucalyptus one with me. It was at the bottom of the big bag of sprays and I didn't find it until the day we left!! Obviously I had completely turned off my brain and was enjoying Culebra! I did try the Cutter with Picaridin instead of Deet. I found it to be as effective for me as the same percentage Deet. It was the Advanced Sport or something like that, but it was just really sticky! So I stuck with the Off Smooth & Dry after that. It doesn't even feel like you have bug spray on, so my vacationing brain doesn't realize that my body is covered in poison!
I have a short trip in October in the works. If it comes to fruition, I will definitely try the lemon/eucalyptus then.

I also like the Off Smooth and Dry, at home. Can anyone tell me if it is on the shelves in Culebra?

Hi Doug,
I do believe I saw the Smooth & Dry on the shelves at Milka. I had brought my own, just because I like it better than any of the other ones, but I was psyched that it had already found it's way to Culebra!

How long does the Smooth and Dry work? Does it come off if you perspire? I like the 3M Ultrathon which was developed for the military. It is a 33% DEET cream, not oily, and lasts for several hours even when I sweat/perspire/gently glow. On the other hand, the Smooth and Dry sounds good.

The direction this thread is taking is beginning to frighten me. If Doug starts asking about the colors in sun protection lip gloss, I'm outta here!

We basal cell carcinoma veterans can't be too careful. Mine gets Mohsed on Oct. 12.
Last night, when I got home from the oriface, my better half was trying to install a new screen door latch. It looked like the old one, but the holes didn't line up with the old cutout. I got out my trusty drill and was widening the openings, all the while some savage tiger skeeters ™ were drilling into my blood supply and injecting me with west-nile dengue malria. I released an F-bomb and bolted for the closet where we keep the repellent. It happened to be the aforementioned Smooth and Dry, It performed admirably and I didn't have to use Goop to be able to grip the drill.
So...do you think lip colors would brighten my "look"?

I think...no...you don't want to know what I think.

| I bought the Smooth and Dry here in Atlanta, but find it is not as effective as Ultrathon, if you have to resort to DEET products. I find the Lemon/Eucalyptus spray more effective than the Smooth and Dry as well, but not as effective as the Ultrathon. The only good thing about our drought is less skeeters this summer.

This makes me think that different repellants work on different species. These little terrorists they call Asian Tigers are tremendously aggressive - while I'm slapping the ones I can see and making life inhospitable with noise and motion, they are attacking slightly to the side, oblivious to the instant death I'm trying to administer. Cutter or deepwoods OFF seem to slow them a bit, but later, I'm still scratching away. The Smooth and Dry seemed to stop them in their tracks. Maybe they adapt over time and this, too, will be obsolete in a few generations.
