I might have to change the habichuelas topic since it ended up about food and eating and even Thanksgiving.

Now, with arroz con habichuelas we eat just about everything, even lasagna. But, una mixta is arroz, habichuela y carne (meat).

guava paste and cheese = pasta de guayaba con queso. We eat it here as well. My brothers sit down with a can of guava paste and a whole white cheese in one seating.

The blant crackers = cucas, Milka must have them.

Thanksgiving is Dia de Accion de Gracias

This is actually an influence frm the North Americans. We don't really like turkey = pavo. We have learned to like it (not me). So, we always have some pork = pernil. In my house we might also have, venisson = venado and some fish = pescao.

Anyway, feliz dia de accion de gracias = happy thankgiving
