Several years ago when we were in Culebra we enjoyed watching the local baseball team compete.  Do they still have a team and if so is it the proper season in early/mid Feb. for games.

Thanks

I'm curious about Culebra beisboll, tambiƩn. I always figured by the looks of the stadium relative to the population size, folks were sort of serious about the sport. Anyone know when the season runs?

Right at this moment there are 4 teams playing. They usually play on week-ends and practice during the week. Yes, it is a Culebra sport as well as basketball. They play probably the whole year. Maybe you visitors should come up with a team. The culebrenses just love it. It is really fun and a family affair. Some are good... others not so good, but they love to play for whatever reason.

If you see the lights on, just come over!

Yes, they allow women to play with them, as well as teams for women. For softball the contact is Dominga Monell, besides me. For volleyball is Maria Ayala and for basketball is Pepe Garcia. I can help with all f them.

I can work on the schedule. Of course, it changes with the wind, weather and the mood of the players. That's what makes it fun. Just show up anyway.

Thanks for the info, Paws Nest!

I'm not sure there is enough Advil on the island for me to play.  How do you say "Kill the ump" in Spanish?
