Howard, the not quite so new PO guy, deserves a huge pat on the back and a raise. He was calling those of us with packages at the PO yesterday and today, to help with the backlog due to the PO being closed yesterday and today (Gerald Ford's funeral). AMAZING!!!!!! He even called Debbie and Lewis, non-business owners. I met Debbie today when she introduced herself and said Lewis was at the PO. I was anxious to get a couple of orders I knew were there and she kindly watched the cart for me while I ran - literally - to the PO.
I don't know what the PO does for service WAY beyond the call of duty, but Howard deserves it, whatever it is.
So while many might have been feeling very frustrated at the closings of so many places, we who live here know...hey, it's Culebra - where chasing the buck isn't always a factor compared to life enjoyment. Howard is also us, saying....hey, it's Culebra, strange and crazy and unexpected. Howard, you ROCK!
