Does anyone know about the results of a town metting that was to be held a few days ago to discuss the changing of zonning in Culebra? If it was held and what happened?

Mimi,

What is the purpose of the rezoning?

The Territorial Plan for Culebra presents an Island-wide rezoning
and development plan authored by the Administration. The plan
incorporates recommendations and favorable zoning for some
controversial projects opposed by local conservationists and
activists, they include:
the SonĂ project, Punta Caranero Espasas project between
Costa Bonita and Natural Resources on the wildlife refuge, Posada
Coronel (the mud field behind Colmado Genesis), and the Manuel
Daubon project Villa Mi Terruno in Punta Aloe that is bigger than
Costa Bonita. At the Vista Publica the other night several people
including Digna Feliciano and MaryAnn Lucking filed complaints
that there wasn't enough public notice, The Planning Board
president read a letter to the city that is highly critical of the
plan. Rosarito (CC editor) presented a thorough critical
commentary. We are waiting for an answer as to whether there
will be another public hearing.
