I am getting married at the end of August, and am looking to come with my wife to Culebra. I was there 10 years ago and loved it. I would like to find a house to stay in as close to Zoni Beach as possible.
Also wondering how hot it is in the beginning of september? Is it bearable, and how are the mosquitos? Is it the worst time vis a vis mosquitos?

Best to call Jim Galasso at http://www.culebraislandrealty.com/Rental_Listing/rental_property_information.htm

or Vacation Planners at
https://www.allvacationreservations.com/searchresult.php?compid=42
for rental suggestions.

As for September, it's pretty hot - high 80's. You never know about the mosquitos - if it's been raining a lot, there's a lot of mosquitos. If it's been dry, not so many. Hard to advise on that.

Mean Temperature for September 9th
Actual: 84 °F / 28 °C
Average: 82 °F / 27 °C

Actual/Average/Record for September 9:

Max Temperature 89 °F / 31 °C 88 °F / 31 °C 94 °F / 34 °C (1995)
Min Temperature 78 °F / 25 °C 77 °F / 25 °C 71 °F / 21 °C (1956)

I agree, September is pretty hot, but also the winds seems to die down and that's where the discomfort comes in. Also, hurricane season's highpoint is Sept. 15th. But, I live in Culebra year round and I love it all of the time.
