I had seen that Posada was listed for sale a few months ago.  Does anyone know if it sold? Does Al still own it?

Who are the new owners? Stayed there back in March 2002 before Easter ...had a blast next door at Mamacitas for dinner every night then later at the bar. Met a lot of very nice locals and expats as well as some military contractors doing some unexploded artillery shell removal...

Still as good as it was then? Have been back to Culebra several times since then but only for day trips. Heading back this fall...have not been since moving back to the states in 2003 from San Juan.

It's sold, done deal. I don't know the new owners, but have met the manager who is a sweetie.

The manager, who you labeled a "sweetie" is no longer the manager.

And...when,do you predict, the new washing machine will be shrunken to fit inside the building? PC

Yep...I heard about the manager situation yesterday. I didn't even notice if the washing machine is inside yet; it sort of has become part of the space there. If we had homeless people, someone could live in it. If it's not inside today, we can start making bets, because I have NO idea of the *when*.
And I still think he was a sweetie. Anyone who walks by the cart 5 times a day and always has a smile and something nice to say earns sweetie status in my book
(admin, you might...but remember, we have little to entertain us this time of year)

not to worry, admin remembers all too well -- and just think everyone can do something fun and maybe a little off the wall today, and noone will notice because of the other drama unfolding:D:D:D

Island Woman, maybe as the roving photographer, you could get a picture of said washing machine -- I have a very funny picture forming in my head.
