Just thought I'd mention Suzy's restaurant. It's down where the old grocery store used to be, or where Ricci's used to be or...
GREAT food, good prices. Next door (and I literally mean a door between them) Tomasito is at the bar (with pool table). A lot of locals go there as well as visitors. There are only six or so tables (expansion later this year due to demand), but well worth the wait.
It's small, it's good, it's different, it's Culebra. It's a treat, don't miss it!

| Trying to figure out where this is. Ricci's conjures up the restaurant at Tamarindo...no?

| It's at Juan Romero's old store -- up past Abbie's school (before Walter and Monika's house). Suzy is a great chef, and this is a very welcome addition to Culebra's fine dining options!! I know I'll be eating there the first chance I get!

| Cool - I'll find it. As you can see, I'm back - thanks for the patch!

Doug, it's easy to find but if you come by the cart I can give you one of her little cards which has a map on the back (it's easier just to tell you though!)

Well, after our lunch fiasco - Dinghy Dock, El Eden, Mamacitas NOT serving lunch today after we divers planned to (a) finish up our diving, (b) have a big lunch, (c) rinse gear, and (d) go to the beach, we came back to the house and had lunch around 3pm. It was not a pretty sight - the four of us wolfing down dinner leftovers, cheese, crackers, salsa, anything we could get our hands on. . . Sad, really, but we'd had a couple of difficult dives, and had worked for our meal.
Anyway, I mention this here because the plan was to have a big lunch out, and have a lite dinner in. Now we're rinsing gear at 4pm, having a beer at 5pm, and completely missed taking our friends to Flamenco. And, we need to think of something for dinner! Auggh!
So, we shower, shave and clean up, and head over to Fox's Lair around 6:30. Good timing. We were behind a party of five. We ordered and had a couple of beers at the bar before we were invited to our table, popped a cork at the table, drank one glass of wine before our names were called to pick up our dinners. We had skirt steak with island mash, pork ribs with island mash, chicken cilantro pasta (on whole wheat spaghetti no less), and cardamon chicken on cous cous with a side of island mash.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. This says it all - EXCELLENT!Attachment: FoxLair.jpg (Downloaded 124 times)

Heading toward Flamenco Beach from town, take a right at the intersection
by Willie's Jeeps, you are now on the road to Zoni. After you pass the
Airport on your left, (end of the runway) take a left, you now are entering
the Muñeco Village. Keep straight, keep going, and just before you would
ascend into the hills, Foxes Lair is on your right.

A wonderful send off meal for friends at Suzie's last night, along with the bonus of hearing her sing. Both food and voice were excellent!

Abe,
Great to see you over here! Since you're on bikes, you're lucky - the Foxes Lair is just before you get to the big hill on the road that Jim was speaking of. It should be an easy route, except for that hill to Melones on your way back!

Susie was the chef at Foxes Lair -- she is opening a really cool and funky new restaurant of her own, called appropriately, Susie's -- she's about a week or two out from opening, so by the time you're hear, you will be able to enjoy some of her fantastic cooking in a great new location.....she'll be up on the site map soon, but her new spot is just past Comalda Milka by the gas station.....
