Just when I was sure I'd bought everything I wanted from every OTHER yard sale, I found three things at this one that had to come home with me. Give it whirl!

The ladies in Missouri call this "Retail Therapy".  One imagines the finite nature of *stuff* on Culebra gives it a rather different sort of lifecycle.  You don't really own stuff; it's just your turn.  I originally heard this concept applied to relationships in Durango, CO, in the 80s.  There, it was explained to me, "you don't lose your girlfriend; you lose your turn."

I make it a practice on annual visits to inquire whose turn it currently is.

What a great concept!!!  Why didn't I hear this 40 years ago when I was young (er).  It would have made life so much easier.
