Totally agree...and it is about more than the Catholic Church...I think it should be READ at the Catholic Church and the Church of Flamenco campground

The CC received links from 4 different sources. This
is really getting around. The other one is Suzie Flynn
for President. Cute campaign on childrens health
issues. We may publish an edited version on the Catholic
Church story. If it's not too long I'll post it here also.

It may not be true. There apparently are som loopholes
in the story.

Yes, Carmen told me that today. I'm hoping it just means some glitch in time, as it was extremely well written for a young person (but as a former high school teacher, I've known some brilliant high school aged people who could do this). Outta money, outta clean, check out the church thing, and it's there, for real, stripped down eventually.
But, as the article wasn't trying to pawn anything off, or score anything, it was still a wonderful story, even if it didn't happen... I don't care, somewhere, the heart was real, and my heart responded (maybe I just hope there are still kids like that in the world?).
I don't know if any of you have ever participated in a foot washing ceremony in any setting, but I have and it is a seriously humbling, amazing experience, even if it only is two.
If you haven't, try it sometime, in a serious manner...you'll find out what I can't really express in words. All I know is...it is the real thing, with no formal name...we are all from God...doncha know? Who else could have struck up such a fine stage of characters? For you politically insistant..insert she, it, the tree. Personally, I'd just add *she* and *her* for those with issues. Or...*the human*
He kneels, and servant-like, he takes my feet
to wash, and then to gently wipe them clean
and I am purified by his esteem.
Intimate, his hands my loneliness defeat.
I feel discomfort, my unease is much
accustomed to the dust and soil-ed end.
But he, from God, would have me as his friend!
No fantasy! Who could forget his touch?
Gently wash my heart and mind - the whole of me;
and forever, I your dearest friend, will be.
Harold Macdonald (a church deacon guy)
He, she, a man, a woman, a child - it's not about *religion* (though it could be) it's about the deepest place we usually don't want to go. Feet!!! Go figure.
Thus endeth the possible scam letter lesson. Go in pieces and wash some feet. Uh huh!!

The crazy thing about the foot washing thing is you wash your
feet first out of pride and self respect so as to not embarrass
yourself in front of your clergy. You trim your toenails, buff
your callouses, deodorize if necessary, and apply some
moisturizer. If they don't look presentable, you don't go.
If your not into the symbolism thing you can get almost the
same feeling from a good pedicure or even better a massage
from Susan (Tony & Susan). You can get a great pedicure
from Edwin's wife (Professional Massage in Culebra) What they
lack in the spiritual humbling thing they make up for in
intensity and depth (that would be..muscle, tendon, tissue, and
nerve relationships). Finally, a foot bath device (with vibration)
a little epsom salts, and your favorite book and you feel like
"you died and went to heaven" albeit alone.Attachment: footbath1.jpg (Downloaded 18 times)

Well, that girl looks like she died with a stick up her...backbone and went nowhere, I can't believe that is the ad for such a wonderful sounding device.
Suzanne's foot massages are incredible...a drugless time out of body experience!
Leaving me feeling much more like this...
