...starts tonight. Yep it's the official kickoff of Carnivale in St. Louis, culminating on Mardi Gras on Fat tuesday, February 20th.
Factoid: there are some young'ns (prolly 16 or 17 now) on Culebra who were tossed beads on several Fat Tuesdays as they walked home from school, by some crazies from St. Louis. Every now and again, a young Culebrense will walk up to me and ask, "Bead Man?"
Anyhow, I hope your Carnival is carefree and your Junkanoo is lavish!

| I think I'm the proud owner of St. Louis beads.....I can sort of thru the haze remember some pretty wild Fat Tuesdays here with certain visitors leading the way...
