All my bags are packed; I'm ready to go. . . la la la la.

Seriously, what bags?! First trip without a bunch of crap. Well, unless you call MJ's donated computer bag and a sack full of books crap. I never did get around to getting to the post office, so I'm carrying it on. I'll sure feel light on the way home! That and my book, computer and iPod, and I'm good to go. We land in SJU at noon, booking it to Isla Grande for the 1pm flight, and will be enjoying the clean air and sunshine by 2'ish I'm hoping.

Two days of diving with Taz (!), one day of relaxing and putting up the shutters, then six months of wishing we were back there. Such is life.

See you guys tomorrow! :D:D:D

Jonny and Merri will be at the airport about...3:15 (if I have my way, I'll get them all checked in and then make a Happy Landings mission stop). So you will be barely in passing mode!
Sounds all good - travel light, enjoy. And wow! A computer bag? My computer might be really scared. And books??? OH WOW!!!!

Sad hell! I've gained 5 pounds, stayed up later for more nights in a row than I have in years, played tour director, drank too much and capped it last night after a sensational dinner with friends by whipping into the Cabana bar parking lot on the way home leading to the three of us singing Karaoke <sp>  - Kokomo, chosen by Gretchen (who also graciously tried to keep us up with the bouncing words on the screen) - in an extremely horrendous version (why does the electricity stay on when it should be off?)..they need to go home!
They are supposed to go sailing with Sean today but the water is glass still at the moment, so that might be a great excuse to do much of nothing on the schedule except getting to the airport on time.

I'm going to remind you after they left that you said you wouldn't feel sad!!! Last night sounds like it might have involved a fair amount of giggling (which Gretchen makes me do too).....

When does Sean come north??? Tell him to get in touch with me....

enjoy your day of recovery....:D

No worries...we're all about *Ya gotta go to come back*.

Sean leaves next week, I'll pass along the message.

Recovery will be done at the cart...it IS Friday of Memorial Day weekend, even for Island Woman (no one knows the difference anyway except those that really know me, and they are only supportive...literally)

No broken sink in this ghost story, only some serendipitous nudity.  "The beginning of a beautiful friendship", some might say.

Y'all have a great weekend...I'll be using one of my DIF symptom reliever techniques(see "Document of Interest)  to get through it.  Actually tonight and tomorrow night involve high school reunion activities.  Old girlfriends to see, buddies to collect old poker debts from, etc. This'll be my fourth one, and each time the vibe gets better.  They're way past the who makes the most money stage and into the surgery comparison stage.

Somebody drink a Presidente for me, and I'll drink a Painkiller for you.

Doug

sounds like you have a fun weekend planned -- it's now 94 degrees here (hotter than Culebra -- go figure).....and we're ROASTING -- we were in blue jeans and sweaters yesterday, but who's complaining -- this will bring droves of melting Mainers to the coast, and that wonderful cha-ching sound will be heard all over town......

So my OFFICE phone rings at 11 am this morning, and it's my buddy, Orlando, and he's calling me from the lounge at Isla Grande, waiting for the 1 pm Flamenco flight to Culebra.  I told him to keep an eye out for Deadhead terrorists. So by now, you guys are on your second cocktail at Dinghy.

You win the stuffed coqui frog! Island Woman is indeed at home and very glad to be here.
After the plane being 40 minutes late (we went from "some delay, weather situation in SJ...no word no word, to IT IS TIME TO GO RIGHT NOW), on an extremely hot day with 10,000 mosquitos in the airport wanting all of our blood, there was no room for much sentiment. More like ok, it was great, love you, BYE!!!
I went for some pinchos from Joe and picked up some mixer for drinks and headed home. Back to my regularly scheduled non-post-mid-day appearance.

Town is filling up, and according to one liveaboard, Dakity is filling up fast fast fast, the usual holiday scenario of rafted up boats, parties, music...tires me out just thinking about it!
Jonny and Merri, watching people in the airport, couldn't believe people were flying in from the big island with many, many accoutraments for camping at Flamenco...I said, if I ever come back in another life as a camping person (and I hope I would), I want to be born Puerto Rican...they camp in fine, fine style!
And now it is magic light time, time to rest my eyes on the hills, water and sky.

See you the next time!!!

I'm waiting to hear from Lewis and Debbie! I'm sure the same weather kept them in SJ a bit longer, because we didn't pass in the airport, even with the late departure.
Check in, L & D!

We agreed to no internet access this time. We needed some "us" time. Yet here we are, on the internet. We managed to go without it for four days. . .

Doug - NOT fair that you warned Orlando about us. We were sure surprised to see him sitting in the lounge drinking a Heiney. I think his trip is even shorter than ours, but any day spent on Culebra is a blessing. I'll catch up with the rest of the forum when I get home; just dropping into post an IPOD and was surprised to see this thread had so many replies. . .
