Can anyone recommend a good charter boat (preferably a catamaran) with a captain for the day to sail around the area (Culebrita, Luis Pena)? Best day would be Dec. 28th. Looking for a nice day trip with my girlfriend,... good snorkling, champagne, and perhaps some fresh caught and grilled spiny lobster...
First time visit to Culebra and I can't wait!

No promise of all the goodies, but our yoga guy, Anthony, does do some sail trips. I don't have his phone number at hand (and he has a mono, not a multi hull). But somewhere on this place is his number....if not, I'll find it and get back with you...not tomorrow, as it's Christmas and my day off so I won't be at the cart...anyone have Anthony's number to give out?

Thanks much Island Woman. I've enjoyed reading your daily posts and checking out your beautiful pictures.
Is there a place on the island where I could buy the champagne and some fresh caught shellfish to bring on the boat (most boats have an on-board grill I think)?
We'll coming down on Wed. to camp out under the stars at Flamenco beach for a few days... can't wait!
Have a great Xmas.

Sounds like a special day and Culebra is perfect for those magical moments! Champagne should be easy to come by at El Eden or Ricky's as New Year's is coming up (Culebra isn't normally a champagne kinda island, although I'm sure that line coming from me is making some people chuckle. ).
I'm sure you could call El Eden 787742-0509 and ask them to put a bottle aside for you.
Langosta, the Caribbean spiny lobster (it doesn't have claws, but sure is tasty) is a little different and may be harder to find as the fisherman mostly sell to the restruants, and it doesn't sound like you have much time to hook up with one to sell you any. You could ask at Mamacitas or Dinghy Dock as soon as you get to Culebra.
Enjoy Your Vist, and Very Merry Christmas!

Come by the cart (best times to find me *open* are between 9ish and early afternoon before the sun drives me away) and I'll tell you another source of fish and lobster... Good luck with Anthony!
