I'm listening to the town crier truck go through the streets here, playing very mellow instrumental music, which I can only figure is for Good Friday reasons. Not a bad way to begin the morning.

The official weather guys say there is still a Coastal Flood Warning and a High Surf Warning in effect until noon today. The strongest of the system peaked yesterday, but they are still calling for high and dangerous swells out there.
In my part of the island, there is barely a breath of wind, but I can hear the surf over the hills.

Yesterday afternoon at Flamenco it was obvious things were settling down some, even though there were still some pretty spectacular waves out there!
I was lucky enough to get a bird's eye view in the morning hours when it was still building. It's a bit hard to tell the perspective from so high up...I wanted to have a little person in the photos to give comparison...but no little person showed up to oblige me.
So...instead, imagine, if you will...a little person on that beach.

Ah, you know that tree!

As the morning goes along, the winds are picking up somewhat around here. But what I really wanted to add is this. Check out stormcarib.com for the Puerto Rico report. Some photos that are pretty...stunning. There is some serious damage happening over there.
