The forecast calls for an 80% chance of rain, but the radar looks like 100% chance of clouds. But oh, did we get rain! It rained for hours it seemed and I fell asleep listening to it like a lullaby. This morning the plants are happy and no doubt the cistern owners are as well.

Right now calm, cool and grey seems to be the watchword. Good Sunday weather...enjoy!

This brave frangipani has been trying to bloom for five years. It's been moved around the yard farther and farther away from the iguanas who seem to know EXACTLY when it is about to bloom and look at it like the most delectable appetizer, eating the leaves and buds. But the thing keeps holding on, trying and trying again. I'm hoping the rain will kick it into high gear gently today and there will be blossoms.

Actually, that is not a human toe...or toes. That is breakfast for some fire ants that were happily chomping away while I, dedicated to bringing visual pleasure to the masses, withstood the pain, knowing there are photographers out in the field (not my field) who undergo charging hippos, annoying children, termite mounds and flying bullets without complaint. It's the least I can do.

Darlin', that makes us blood-siblings.  Those selfsame fireants used my foot for a chinese buffet, the day Walt sailed us into your cove.  If they got as much blood from me as I think they did, you should be developing super powers, any minute! :P
