I did manage to get out of my drive in the later afternoon (after the machines were done for the day around here) and headed to Flamenco. While it wasn't the stuff of those seriously windy days, it was less than flat...at that time of day anyway!
The water was perfect for swimming on what had been a hot day and I drifted around for awhile, one of maybe 15 people at the beach, the largest group way down the beach from me. It was a beautiful way to spend some afternoon time and another reminder of how lucky I am to live here. Hop in the car and wa la...perfection for free.
Today feels a little more breezy than yesterday, but I think the heat factor is going to sock in soon.
Out of the literal blue, this boat showed up coming in close to the beach...

A couple of passengers dropped off, one with surfboard in hand (I missed the jump off the boat, DARN!, very cool move)

So that was a little odd and a lot funny...and then I saw...(dramatic music) the Ghost Ship. I figured it must be time for cocktails, because I was already sort of seeing things...
