Not unexpectedly, 94L is on the scene as Bertha remains stationary and is foreseen to weaken. Good news for Bermuda if that holds up.
While on the home front, the sun is blaring, there is a slight breeze and it looks like another hot one, already 87 and not yet 8 a.m.
A good day to jump in the water...or move some friends and then jump in the water...

94L is an unknown right now as to development, but worth keeping an eye on...as per your instructions!

Bertha, as of the 8 a.m. advisory, has been downgraded to a tropical storm. And now they are saying 94L has potential for development over the next couple of days. We'll see what we see!

I always like it when the weather tech guys toss in something unexpected...the other day in reference to Bertha one wrote it was a forecasting conundrum.
Today, we have more mystery...
Right now it is raining, about the fifth shower to pass through. I wasn't sure what was going to happen when I closed the cart but it has now rained hard enough and enough times to justify my disregard for today's forecast rather than my own weather intuition!
Drier weather is still expected
behind the tropical wave for much of Wednesday. For Wednesday
night and Thursday...the plot thickens again...as GFS now brings
another perturbation and associated moisture across the local
islands. |

Update on 94L, of which the NHC says:
THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM LOCATED ABOUT 1300 MILES EAST OF THE LESSER
ANTILLES CONTINUES TO SHOW SIGNS OF ORGANIZATION. ALTHOUGH
THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY WITH THIS SYSTEM IS LIMITED AT THE PRESENT
TIME...ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS APPEAR FAVORABLE FOR FURTHER
DEVELOPMENT...AND THIS SYSTEM COULD BECOME A TROPICAL DEPRESSION
LATER TODAY OR TOMORROW AS IT MOVES WEST-NORTHWESTWARD AT 10 TO 15
MPH. |

The system is developing more slowly than expected and MAYBE going in a more northerly direction than originally thought. That's what I'm hoping for!
