The phones were off all day yesterday and some today, so this is late and basically history...but...for those of you who might wonder why I didn't mention the lovely rain, here was the report.

"As for some reason I can't get online, I'll write this now, while the ground is still wet from an ongoing rain last night. Maybe I woke up when it stopped at some point, but I had a listening experience I'd never had. It was so very still that I could hear the next wave of rain coming across the water, up the yard and onto the roof. Very strange, but very fascinating.
Looking forward to the total, Mr. Kunke!"

The wind is coming backward again; it was a slow beat home from the Virgins for one sailor friend and a quick "breakfast at Culebrita, lunch at St. Thomas" for another. Along with two really hot days. This was the view from the yard yesterday morning...very still, very beautiful in the overcast.

Today I had to go up to the Alcadia to do some April business...it's such a great view from there! Today was mucho calor <sp> with one lovely older woman telling me in Spanish to be careful in the very hot sun. She was spot on, I closed early. Da nada!
While walking gets tiresome on occasion, it allows me to see so much that is missed in a vehicle. The bit of rain we had got a lot of plants excited and green is showing up slowly...more on that later on.
