This is where I will now spend my mornings since MJ is reported to be safely in the area.  MJ, I have kept Culebra safe since your departure, the rest is up to you.

I haven't heard if she got out of Mike's clutches yet.....don't plan your retirement party yet, although that tree looks wicked inviting!!!:)

She's still here trying to get a flight back to Culebra.  However, the weather (thunderstorms right now in SJ), full flights, and Lupi's may be a barrier to her getting back today.

Sorry Hillman, your tree and beautiful yard view will have to wait! Is it raining on Culebra? It's still thundering and lightning here - excellent storm!

This is the view from my cousin Carroll's yard in Ile Perrot outside of Montreal. It was almost as serene as home (this is from the morning I thought I locked myself out on the VERY cold deck).

p.s. update - They just cut into the show we were watching to give an emergency flash flood warning alert...I think I'm stuck here for now :(

MJ, no rain or storms on Culebra.  Loved the cloud photo.

Leave the storms and flooding in SJ before you get back.

Hillman,

You've done a superb job. Hope you don't really retire just because Ms. Weatherwoman is back (almost). Enjoy your hammock time!

I'm willing to bet that ole Ms. Weatherwoman is gonna need some hammock time after 48 hours of being in Mike's custody.

Actually am feeling fine, even with a long afternoon of Lupi's under my belt, so to speak. It's all in the pacing :)

Hillman, you more than stepped up to the plate in what became a very busy season (I know the feeling - what NEXT? and five minutes later...). Please continue to jump in the weather pool with me.

Oh my, it is very good to be home!

I'm sure the woman next to me must have wondered how crazy I was, taking shot after shot out the window...I can live with that.

Welcome back MJ; Craziness is probably a good catagory to be when living on an island, but those photos are pure and wonderful, thanks for putting them up to share.

MJ, that is one AMAZING photo!!!  How do you get such a good shot out the airplane window??  All the windows I see have tiny little cracks in them.

I was lucky? I did get a few with my reflection in them but many of the 88 shots I took turned out pretty well. I took some on the way up to Canada out of Chicago as well, and it worked about the same. I've always wanted to shoot the clouds but with film and not knowing how it would go, I never tried it. Did I mention I love my camera?????

You may have to go on weekly trips, Weather Girl -- those cloud shots are, in the true sense of the word, fantastic.

Truly...at the moment, I don't want to leave ever again. I'm sure I'll get over it, but no time soon.

And thanks for the kudos...but I was just the lucky person up in the air with the camera...it's out there all the time. Freaking amazing!

When I was in JFK, almost home, there were a lot of Puerto Ricans heading the same way as me. There was also a group coming into NY, some Special Olympic kids, a pretty big group. I looked hard, hoping to see someone I know that might have been in that group, but they weren't there. So I took this photo - which I have to say I love a lot - because I was homesick and they were there.

Uh, yeah, that does sound kind of bad, huh?  It seems like the inner window layer always has hairline cracks all around the edges of it, at least in the planes we fly.  But my husband just said they aren't really cracks at all, they are scratches.  Regardless, they would definitely impede a nice clear photo like MJ took.

I know you love your camera, MJ, but give yourself a ton of credit too.  You really have an awesome eye.  I love the one of the kids at the airport too, it's really touching, even without your explanation.

P.S.  Sorry about the short "crack in the airplane window" post.  I was trying to dash one last, quick post off before we headed to Cleveland for the Genesis show and then to see the Browns WHOMP the Ravens today.  Just had to get that in------GO BROWNS!!!!!
