While it's *supposed* to not be rainy, weather does what weather wants and showers on and off seem to be the theme of the morning at least. For me that meant one aborted trip to town until something sunshiny happens.
It might be a good day to stay home and make hot sauce!

Before the sky went flukey, this was the moon, clear and bright, around 6:30 this morning. If you look very closely, you can see Jerry Mathers, as the Beaver.

OJ? Was there supposed to be OJ? Dang!  (c'mon, it's called the Beaver moon? Keep up with me! It's also called the Frosty moon, but did you see me mention a certain infamous snowman? No you did not!)

speaking of Frosty, it's just bitterness coming out in my words.  I think I've been a pretty good girl and not whined too much yet this year (unlike that Diving chicka whose feet are always cold and will be in that heavenly warmth BEFORE me:X).....but it's down right FROSTY here.  Although the sun is out and it's brilliant. It may be a picture kinda day....our sunsets this time of the year are made of dreams.  I did once again think about taking some moon shots last night, but trust me -- it's so cold you can't feel the shutter button on the camera.

I'm very proud of you for your restraint...especially because it is still only November

Does the camera freeze? Would some of those heated gloves they sell hunters work?

the camera doesn't freeze, although once you bring it back inside, you shouldn't use it for several hours  -- condensation can form.

and those heat things do work -- I just hate the concept of major yucky chemicals trapped in a glove next to my skin......so I just whine:D

Sites that would be on my favorites/bookmarks list if I were you:

http://www.realshopping.co.uk/acatalog/Electrically_Heated_Garments.html

http://innovativesports.net/isnet/lishis.php

http://www.prowarm.com/

http://www.dutchguard.com/c-heated-clothing.html

Of course, the reality is that I would be curled into a fetal position near, in or on the closest source of heat under many layers of blankets, sipping hot drinks through straws so I could keep my hands under the covers. Things like bathrooms, jobs, shopping for food would have to be put aside, so I'd make it through about 1/16th of a Maine winter. Best for me to live here.

In the meantime, get some surge protected outlet strips and plug in your clothes! I'll skip the puns I seem to be in the mood for this morning...live wire and all that...

lol.....since heating oil is basically more expensive than gold these days and I'm also trying to do my part to go as green as possible under extreme conditions, Admin's house is 60-62 during the day, and 58 at night.  This may be too much info, but Admin keeps a blanket in the bathroom to put over my legs -- it's downright frosty!!!

The sun is shining in a warm, shimmering halo of love and beauty here...oh, wait...that was the afterglow of Mizzou pounding Kansas last night to take over the top spot in the college football rankings! 40 years of frustration finally redeemed!
