Has anyone watched this in the past?  Where do they sail?  Where are some places to watch from?  The Regatta website isn't specific.

It's been somewhat controversial in the past -- out of hand partys, too many boats in the mangroves, a nightmare last year at Costa Bonita.....this year, they are using a private home in an association as a "yacht club".....time will tell if this is a good thing or bad thing for Culebra. Hopefully a lot of lessons were learned from last year.

I've posted about those issues myself.  I want to think well of folks who sail, and love to watch.  Being underway with no motor noise is such a cool experience.  Hopefully, the sponsors who live on Culebra will take the initiative to alter inconsiderate behavior and get this thing on the right track.  Whether this is bane or boon is in their hands.

So do they sail around the island? In the ensenada? I'll have my camera...

They will sail Ensenada, according to the guy who brought me posters to hang up at the cart, whether entirely within Ensenada, I don't know.
The activities will be held on the ferry dock and around town. I think it can be a very good thing for Culebra, as far as generating as audience and participators people who enjoy the environment. Hopefully they will respect it as well!

That needs to come from the organizers. Every piece of literature they put out, from the entry form to the website to the raceday rules, needs to stress being considerate guests and ennumerate what that means.  This can be done in a positive way, just like the beach signs that caution against destructive practices.
