I'll miss him, and wish him a safe passage on to the next life....Kurt Vonnegut went on to the spirit world last night.....and people thought he was a wacko.....

"I like to say that the 51st state is the state of denial," he told The Associated Press in 2005. "It's as though a huge comet were heading for us and nobody wants to talk about it. We're just about to run out of petroleum and there's nothing to replace it."

I am saddened by the loss of Vonnegut.  Fortunately we will always have his work to remind us of his very important contribution to our diologue.  Although many wrote him off as crazy or a nutjob he gently and not so gently revealed the real insanity of the status quo and the powers that be.

"By saying that our leaders are power-drunk chimpanzees, am I in danger of wrecking the morale of our soldiers fighting and dying in the Middle East?" "Their morale, like so many bodies, is already shot to pieces. They are being treated, as I never was, like toys a rich kid got for Christmas in December.

and "so it goes"
Vonnegut was a mentor, Asimov a master, you and I
must be imperators. jcp
