As I was looking for distribution of the dragonfly, (See the Posts
under birds) I came up with several references to their behaviour.
Simply put, they don't and can't sting, but they could bite if cornered
or grabbed, although they probably wouldn't break the skin. The chance
of one landing on you and biting - Zero.
The CC site soon will be posting a collection of Butterflies from
Culebra - you will be amazed at this expanded little world
you never knew existed!
