Hi Everyone,
Here's a quick announcement regarding this year's Culebra activity for the Puerto Rico Down Syndrome Foundation:
From August 17th to 19th 2007, Bahia Marina Resort and Vacation Planners are sponsoring the 3rd annual Culebra activity for the Puerto Rico Down Syndrome Foundation (DSF). Attending this year will be members of the DSF Young Adults Club and their families. The group this year totals around 80 people. Events include a beach day, a pool day, and music with Amy Joe. Last year’s activity was a huge success. Everyone had a wonderful time. We expect this year to be the same. The DSF, Bahia Marina, and Vacation Planners wish to extend a special thanks to the Owners of the following units for providing lodging for the group:
Bahia Marina condominiums, Anchor House, Casa Cayo Norte, Casa Culebra, Casa de Martes, Culebra Beach Villas 1D, Culebra Turtle’s Nest, The Doll House, El Balcon, Rising Sun, Sunset View apartments, and Villa Viollette.
The purpose of the Puerto Rico Down Syndrome Foundation is to help individuals with the Down Syndrome condition acclimate into every day life. The Foundation does this through education at their school in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, assorted training programs, and activities such as the activity scheduled for the weekend of 8/17/07 in Culebra. The Foundation is a non-profit organization with a wonderful Mission. If you, your business, or company would like to make a donation to the Foundation you can do so, either in person or by mail, at Bahia Marina (http://www.bahiamarina.net) or at the Vacation Planners office in downtown Culebra (http://www.culebravacationplanners.com). Checks can be made out to Puerto Rico Down Syndrome Foundation, Inc.
We look forward to another enjoyable activity and know the Island of Culebra will welcome the Puerto Rico Down Syndrome Foundation with open arms.
